Your independent film or documentary deserves to be produced on broadcast quality equipment.

·           Pre-production services: story research, script-writing, location scouting, historical costumes and props, production planning.

·           Experienced with coaching both seasoned and inexperienced on-camera talent and crew members.

·           High-end broadcast quality professional production equipment: cameras, sound, lighting.

·           Editing studio with Adobe Premiere.

·           Extensive music and effects library.  I can edit from many video formats.

·         A note to Independent Filmmakers and Documentary Producers: I will be able to work within a limited budget, yet help you achieve a very high ‘production value’ for your independent film or documentary project.  I have years of experience researching and writing historical and informational screenplays, I have or can find historical costumes and props, I am constantly on the lookout for historical locations, and specialize in working with inexperienced on-camera talent.

·         That, in combination with the production equipment as seen on my professional services page (Panasonic Pro DV Camera), will boost the overall look of your project.

·         I can edit the project, or hand you the raw footage on full-size Pro-DV tapes or in native DV files (25 mbps) stored on a DVD (or both).

Pricing/scheduling of non-profit projects:

·         Film-style production is exhausting, especially for inexperienced (and often unpaid) actors and crew, limit work to half-days (3 hours) and provide lunch and snacks.

·         For a NON-PROFIT project, I will use my Panasonic Pro-DV Broadcast Quality camera at a rate of $ 350 per half-day.

·         Wireless microphone system $ 50 extra.

·         Due to the expense of maintaining this equipment, I cannot ask less than this, no matter how worthy the project.

·         Crew members (for lighting and sound) $ 150 per half-day.

·         At the above prices, I expect to arrive on a functioning film set in which I will operate as the camera operator/cinematographer using my own camera and microphones.

·         All other pre-production, production or post-production services will be priced separately.

·         For a rough estimate of project scheduling, estimate one half-day of filming and one day of editing for every 1 to - minutes of finished film.

·         There may be an extra charge for materials.

·         Please see the Student Films page, the samples speak for themselves.
